NAV/COM UPS SL-30 with ILS (no display for ILS, but swap the ucoder for any of the new displays on the market and you have an IFR trainer). Garmin 427GTX mode C. The interior is very clean with cloth and leather seat cushions (Tempra Foam) color keyed to exterior. Engine is an 1835cc VW with Great Plains - case, crank, flywheel and accessory case and starter. The rest of the engine was balanced, blue printed, and assembled by national level auto race team. Graphite and ceramic (top) coated Mahle pistons. Crank fired ignition with Gilmer belt 55amp alternator drive. MOFOCO heads with SS valves. Ellison injector and all filters and fuel lines aluminum with AN fittings. Intake is custom carbon fiber and SS. Air box is molded carbon fiber. Tri – Y exhaust – with ceramic coating. Carbon fiber plenum cooling for max temp in summer, best climb - 185 degrees. Minimum temp for this engine is 180. Ed Sterba propeller and polished spinner. Plane is a joy to fly and extra care was taken to make it easy to maintain as well.
