PT6 Turbine reliability in a Cessna 206. Factory new PT6-21 Conversion is STC approved in USA (FAA) and Europe (EASA) STC #SA04034CH.
This plane was built to be a Skydiving Plane (but it never was one before! so it is not a worn out airframe) It does have all the seats but we can as an option install jump kit (handles, and one step all with STC paperwork),
Here is the back-story: We purchased a nice 206 airframe (that was not a previous skydiving plane), I spent lots of time finding the right airframe!!, we purchased the turbine conversion STC KIt and parts, we purchased a brand new PT6-21, we purchased an overhauled propeller (0 hours). We then stripped the airframe completely, inspected everything, treated for corrosion, , overhauled/serviced all parts, installed the heavy duty landing gear (as it is required by the turbine STC...to be allowed to install the PT6), installed the Sportsman Stol Kit (as it is required by the turbine STC ...to be allowed to install the PT6 ), installed the engine, and components and propeller, replaced ALL avionics installed almost a complete glass cockpit...made the plane IFR, installed new windshield, installed new Selkirk cargo interior (very robust and good looking!) So what I am saying is: we started from scratch....this airplane was not built to sell but I have built this for my own business. If this had been built for somebody else, to sell, we would have never spent so much time and money to service everything. Everything is either new or at 0 hours from major overhaul. Why am I selling this ? I sold my business and we have no need for this airplane any more. Somebody will be able to buy the most amazing skydiving 206 that has ever been built.
